  1. how can you apply a gradient to this using a second shader instead of using water in the shading could I change it to colour and apply the gradient that way?

    1. You can use a plain effector instead of noise of you want a gradient falloff;) BTW we have an awesome new Facebook Group of artists now too if you’d like to get involved, you can ask questions, post your work, get free stuff and enter our CG challenges – there’s one on right now!  It’s Facebook.com/groups/cgshortcuts Thanks for watching!

  2. Instead of using nails, would it be possible to use a body of type?

    1. You definitely could. You could use a motext object and clone it too. I’ll add it to the list of tutorials;) BTW If you didn’t already know about it we now have a Facebook Group if you’d like to get involved http://www.facebook.com/groups/CGShortcuts. Thanks for watching!

  3. Hey, dude, I love your tutorials but I’m new to C4D and I’ve run into a bug when using the cloner it makes the nails appear completely randomly around the plain how do I solve it to make them appear along the vertex?

    1. just had that problem too, all you have to do is change the distribution to vertex

    2. That sounds about right, thanks Andrew! Did that work for you Giovanni?

    3. @CG Shortcuts however I do have a problem as my computer is literally dying from lag what do you suggest I do?

    4. Make sure you have the cloner instance mode set to ‘instance’ and it should be nice and fast – I should have mentioned in the tute

  4. Doh!!! Try turning Render Instance mode on so your computer can handle it;)

  5. Question, Would you be able to Audio react effects like this to music or something of the sorta? 😮
