Today we’ll be creating this Snow Globe in Cinema 4D. We’ll model the Snow Globe with the lathe in C4D and make dynamic snowflakes.

You can download the free project file too and use it in your own motion graphics work. Let me know if you found it useful!

  1. @CG Shortcuts Thanks! they already helped me, it was just necessary to add gravity over the clone with snow and turn off the acceleration …

  2. The snowflakes keep coming out of my snow globe. I thought by increasing the Dynamics (steps per frame and maximum solver iterations per frame) would stop that. Its currently on 650 on both of them but still appears to come out the bottom. Any ideas?

    1. I was having that issue, found a fix here: 17:39
see his dynamic collider setting , mine was changed in collision tab . I made it similar to his and the issue was solved

    2. @Muhammad Junaid Hiya, thanks for helping, it’s worked a little bit. Far less snowflakes are coming out of the bottom, but there’s still a few that get away.

  3. Hi CG~ I did what you taught in your video, but when I turn the clone object’s mode to OBJECT seems there are some differences in my clone object window, I can’t get the distribution set to SURFACE!

  4. Nice tutorial thanks very much, just in case your snow keeps slipping out of your container after trying all the option mentioned go ahead to the cloner transform perimeters and try adjusting all xyz in moderation till you get it not slipping. Thanks CG shortcuts
