Material Blender

The Material Blender node in Cinema 4D Redshift lets you layer and blend multiple full materials with masks and blend modes, enabling complex, non-destructive surface looks without complicated setups.

Material Blender is a powerful Redshift node that combines complete materials as layers, each with customizable blend modes and masks. This allows artists to build sophisticated surfaces—like paint over rust or decals over dirt—while maintaining full control and flexibility in the shader graph. Layers can be reordered or adjusted without rebuilding materials, making it ideal for both realistic and stylized textures. You can further enhance workflows by combining it with nodes like Color Layer, Maxon Noise, Triplanar, and Vertex Maps for dynamic masking and seamless application on complex models.
