Cinema 4D Field Force Repel and Glow Effect with Mouse Pointer
Create an interactive clone simulation in Cinema 4D where a mouse pointer repels glowing clones using Field Forces, dynamic collisions, and Redshift material blending.
This Cinema 4D and Redshift project file was requested by Ravi, who wanted to recreate a similar effect to one originally made by @zaidarts on Instagram. It shows how to make a realistic pile of clones that react to a moving mouse pointer — repelling away on contact and glowing dynamically as they do. Using a Field Force with a Cylindrical Field, the clones are pushed aside while a Plain Effector with Fields Color drives the color change. A Color User Data node is used as a mask in Redshift’s Material Blender to transition between glowing and non-glowing materials. This setup is perfect for learning Cinema 4D dynamics, Field Forces, Redshift shading, and procedural animation techniques that create polished motion graphics results.
