Snap keys to frames after changing fps in C4D
Hi Aishwarya,
That’s a great question!
All you need to do is select all your keyframes in the dope sheet, then from the timeline menu click KEY / QUANTIZE SELECTION and it should snap them all to full frames.

Snap keys to frames after changing fps in C4D
Hi Dave!
I changed my Cinema 4D project settings from 30 fps to 24 fps. I need to snap all the existing keyframes to keys (right now few of them fall somewhere in between)I know there should be an option to do so but I can’t find it anywhere.
Could you please help me with this?
Thanks in advance,
Aishwarya

Dynamic cable in C4D for a guitar
Hi James, great to hear you’re digging the new look site!
You should be able to attach a dynamic cable pretty easy with the new cloth dynamics tools (I usually avoid the rope tag because it can be a pain to stop it twisty weirdly).
If you make your cable a CYLINDER and wrap it along a spline with a SPLINE WRAP, you can use a cloth tag with SOFT…

Dynamic cable in C4D for a guitar
Hi Dave, not sure if this is the right place to ask but I have an animated electric guitar in my c4d scene and I’d like to attach a dynamic cord / cable to it.
Is there an easy way to do something like that?
I’ve tried using a rope tag but I can’t get it to attach or interact with the floor properly.
Any advice?
Nice work with the new site btw, looks geat!

Hi Anita, I think the key to this one will be to use a vertex map to drive the Mix Animation setting of the cloth, so as the zipper slides down the vertex map releases the locked points (stuck in place by high value Mix Animation) so the cloth would fall away.
There’s actually a good tutorial on YouTube showing a technique you can use… Read more

Hi Dave, I’m trying to create an animated/dynamic zipper in Cinema 4D, a bit like 21 seconds into this video. Any idea how to set it up and make the cloth move dynamically when unzipped?
