Learn how to loop animation by resetting cloth simulation back to the original position. We’ll use cloth dynamics and Mix Animation to create a looping effect.
2024 UPDATE: The Attractor Force doesn’t work so well in 2024 so I’ve added a new version in the downloadable files where I use a Field Force and Friction Force instead.

Any idea why in C4D 2024, changing the Cloth tag parameters to match the tutorial still results in the spheres crushing one another? Also, when they return to their starting positions, they don’t quite make it back: they sort of clip the box while hovering in between their starting position and a little above. (I can’t even run the example file: I’m on a work laptop that lacks sufficient oomph 🙁 ) Thanks for any help!
I see what you mean. The Dynamics system in c4d has changed a lot since this tutorial, it seems the Attractor Force is too powerful now and is collapsing the spheres in on themselves. I’ve updated the download file with a new 2024 version where I use a FIELD FORCE instead and a FRICTION FORCE to slow down the return to position – probably a better setup anyway – the field force is much better than the attractor. Hope that helps!
