Recursive Subdivision in Cinema 4D - KeyGen Procedural Keycap Generator

This effect was based on this epic render by Pasha Ho (see more of his work here) - this kind of thing was requested several times over the years and I just wasnt able to do it in C4D or Houdini, so I’d prety much given up.

But finally (with a little help from AI coding tools) I was able to pull off something similar and build it as a new module in my Cinema 4D Toolkit plugin.

I added a bunch of new parameters to take it even further and a mode to emulate a full QWERTY keyboard - you can easily cusomize the key symbols and switch them out for text too if you like, and material variation and random colors is also built in.
