At CG Shortcuts Pty Ltd, your privacy is important to me. This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use this website.

Account and membership

When you register or become a member, I collect your name, email address, display name, and profile avatar. I also store your membership tier, account preferences (such as email notification settings and display options), and optional onboarding or survey responses you choose to provide. Creating an account requires confirming your email address before you can sign in.

Billing and payment

All card payments are processed securely by Stripe. I do not store your full credit card number on this website. To generate invoices and receipts, I may store billing details you provide, such as your billing name, address, phone number, and tax ID (for example an ABN or VAT number).

Email communication

I use your email address to send account-related messages (such as purchase confirmations, password resets, and support replies). I may also send newsletters, product updates, and promotional content if you have not opted out. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link, and you can manage preferences in your account settings or email preferences. Transactional emails related to your account or purchases may still be sent when required.

Site analytics

I collect information about how the site is used to improve the experience. This includes page views (page path, referrer, and a session identifier), on-site search terms, and whether you were logged in as a member at the time. When you are signed in, analytics may be linked to your account; it is not fully anonymous in that case. This data is stored securely and is not sold to third parties.

Support, community, and chat

If you use support forums, comments, roadmap requests, live chat, or feedback forms, I collect the content you submit and related account information needed to respond. Chat may also record basic browser and device information to help with support.

Cinema 4D plugin

If you use the CG Shortcuts Cinema 4D plugin, I store a device identifier and optional device name to enforce licensing (including a limit on active devices per account), along with licence and download records tied to your membership.

Discount applications

If you apply for a student or purchasing-power-parity discount, I collect the information required to review your application, which may include an identity document upload. Documents are deleted after your application is approved or rejected.

Cookies

This site uses cookies and similar technologies for sign-in sessions, security (including bot protection), remembering preferences such as theme, and occasional A/B testing of pages. Cookies are not used for third-party advertising.

Third-party services

I use trusted providers to operate the site, including Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and authentication), email delivery services (such as Resend, Brevo, or Amazon SES), Bunny.net (video streaming and file delivery), and Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection). These providers process data on my behalf according to their own privacy policies and our agreements with them.

Your consent

By using this site, making a purchase, or becoming a member, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described. If I ever need to use your information for another reason, I'll ask for your permission first.

Withdrawing consent and deleting your data

You can withdraw marketing consent or update email preferences at any time from your account or the unsubscribe links in emails. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data from your account settings or by contacting me.

Disclosure

I may disclose your personal information only if required by law or if you violate the Terms of Service.
